Living in Florida means we spend a lot of time outside. Between neighborhood walks, backyard time, parks, sports, and everything else we have going on, being outdoors is just part of our everyday life. But one thing I’ve become much more aware of is ticks—and finding an option that could easily fit into our routine without adding another spray or product to apply every time we walk out the door.
That’s what led me to Tickless USA.
What Is Tickless?
Tickless offers small, wearable devices designed to help repel ticks using ultrasonic technology. The devices emit ultrasonic pulses that are intended to interfere with ticks, while being imperceptible to humans and pets.
One of the biggest things that stood out to me is that Tickless does this without pesticides or chemicals. There’s no spray to apply to your skin or Maggie’s fur, no strong smell, and nothing messy involved.
For our family, I’ve been using two different products: Tickless Pet for Maggie and Tickless Active for myself.
Tickless Pet for Maggie
The Tickless Pet device is probably the easiest part of our outdoor routine. I simply attach it to Maggie’s collar, turn it on, and she can wear it while we’re outside.
It’s lightweight, chemical-free, and designed for dogs and cats. I especially like that there’s nothing I need to apply directly to her fur or skin before every walk.
Whether we’re walking around the neighborhood, hanging out in the backyard, or taking her along on one of our family adventures, it’s an extra step I can easily incorporate into what we’re already doing.
Tickless Active for Me
They also make an option for people called Tickless Active, which I’ve been using when I’m outside too. It can clip onto your clothing or gear, making it really easy to bring along for walks, hiking, camping, gardening, or just spending time outside.
And listen, walking around Florida in long sleeves and pants because I’m worried about ticks? Yeah… that’s a no. 😂
I love having another chemical-free option that I can simply clip on before heading out.
Why I Like Tickless
For me, it comes down to how easy it is. I’m much more likely to consistently use something when it doesn’t add a bunch of extra steps to our day.
Tickless is chemical-free, easy to wear, lightweight, and rechargeable, and there are options for both people and pets. It’s become such a simple addition to our outdoor routine.
Of course, no tick-repellent method can guarantee you’ll never encounter a tick, so we still stay aware and check ourselves and Maggie after spending time outdoors. Tickless is simply another tool we’ve added to our routine for some extra peace of mind.
